Once you have placed an order on Boat Gear Australia P/L's  website....

1. An email reply from Boat Gear Australia P/L will be immediately emailed to you. The email will say " Order Confirmation - Thankyou for your Order" and attached will be an itemised Order/Tax Invoice showing the individual items ordered and the amount paid.

The Order Confirmation/Tax Invoice will have a unique number (starting with N).
This Order/ Tax Invoice Reference Number will remain the same throughout the order buying process for this order and is the best number to quote if you have a query.

If the order has been paid for in full (including all freight), it shall be promptly processed.

Our freight prices are calculated well before you order, so we avoid any extra, surprise charges, at the checkout.
In extremely rare cases, however, some very heavy/bulky products may require additional freight. If this is the case, we shall contact you, in advance of dispatch, with a fixed price additional freight charge - if this is not acceptable a refund will be issued promptly. This also applies occassionally to some extremely remote areas and some offshore islands.

If the "order" was a just a quote - payment will need to be made - all orders must be paid for in full including freight, before dispatch.

Dispatch and Delivery

2. We dispatch most orders within 48 hours  - if this is not the case we will contact you within this time.

Orders will usually arrive within 1-2 days of dispatch (although, please note some very bulky/heavy items, dangerous goods, or items going to extremely remote areas of Australia, can take up to 10 days.

We use a variety of methods for sending orders including Couriers Please, Aramex Fastway, TNT (air and road), Direct Freight Express, Startarck, Toll and Austalia Post (e-parcel and e-Express parcel). Some heavy items are sent directly from our suppliers' warehouses so occassionally we may dispatch your order by more than one method - however, we shall always keep you fully informed. Not all methods are available to every destination - we  shall choose the most cost efficient reliable method for you.

We deliver within Australia only.

Pre-ordered goods can also be collected, in person (with ID) from us at our warehouse at Yatala Qld, but items must be ordered on line in advance, orders may take some time before being ready. We shall advise when your order is ready.

Tracking

3. As soon as your goods are dispatched, the Boat Gear Australia Team shall email you again. We will advise:

  • which Courier was used,
  • the number of parcels 
  • the Consignment/Tracking Number  and the
  • Courier's Tracking Log In link.

Whilst customers can also log in to "Track Order" on BGA's wesite at any time, we suggest this not necessary, as our emails will keep you fully informed.  Our regular email correspondence to you will always be the most up to date and complete information.

You can also email us directly at admin@boatgearaustralia.com.au  quoting the Order/Tax invoice  ID Reference Number.

Receiving Deliveries

When you order - please choose an appropriate delivery address. If in doubt just give us a call.

Business addresses are the best, provided someone is always there in business hours.

Home addreses are fine, providing someone is home, or you can authorise "Authority to Leave"  however this does put the responsibility for the item's safe delivery onto  you.
For some valuable items we may still require a signature.

Post office boxes are good if the item is not too bulky or heavy (as most couriers cannot deliver to PO boxes).

Some extremely heavy/awkward items (such as large fridges and some ovens) may need to go to a business, or they may need a tailgate lift, or may need to be delivered C/- of the local freight depot. If so, we will advise prior to dispatch.

If you are not home to sign for your parcel, a card may be left to notify you, and the parcel may be taken back to the relevant freight depot for collection or later delivery.

Note sometimes the nearest depot can be quite some way away, so it is important to select an appropriate address where the driver can get a signature. If you choose to have your parcel delivered to your work please include the company name too. (For example Joe Bloggs as name and C/- XXX Company on the 1st address line)
